ALS: (Advanced Life Support) Course

Course Description:
The Advanced Life Support (ALS) course, approved by the Resuscitation Council UK, is designed to enhance participants’ skillset in managing life-threatening emergencies.

The course is conducted over two days, combining lectures, interactive workshops, skill stations, and cardiac arrest simulations.

The dedicated and qualified Instructors, certified by the Resuscitation Council UK, ensure a standardized and high-quality learning experience. Successful completion of the course results in a Resuscitation Council UK Advanced Life Support qualification, valid for four years.

Course Structure: The ALS course is a two-day face-to-face program held at Aspire Academy, Blackpool.

Pre Course Preparation: Registered participants gain access to the Learning Management System (LMS) to review course modules and complete a pre-course multiple-choice question (MCQ) paper. The course manual is provided one month in advance for thorough preparation.

Programme Highlights: The course incorporates lectures, interactive workshops, skill stations, and cardiac arrest simulations (CASTeach) to provide comprehensive training.

Assessment and Certification: Candidates are continuously assessed during the course, primarily based on their performance in clinical simulations. Competency in essential skills like airway management, high-quality CPR, defibrillation, and cardiac arrest management is expected. The course concludes with a formal MCQ test and a practical assessment in a cardiac arrest simulation.
